Molly Rymer – Sweet Child of Mine

Studio based music video for an up and coming independent singer and songwriter Molly Rymer.

The Brief

Molly contacted us to create a music video that had a slow, relaxed feel to it. She was performing a cover of ‘Sweet Child of Mine’ with an acoustic arrangement and wanted to focus on the stripped back nature of the song and performance whilst engaging the viewer visually.

What We Did

The client had hired the studio space for a short space of time and was recording the track alongside creating the video, so there were time constraints to work within and space restrictions. This meant I needed to strip back the equipment I used and had minimal planning time.

Using a handheld gimbal, and a wide lens on my camera, I shot the entire music video in one take. This created a flowing, smooth movement which added to the strip back vibe of the song.

The Results

The client loved the video, it was the perfect accompaniment for the arrangement of the song and was used for promoting up and coming gigs she had planned and became part of her catalogue of performances across her social channels.
